A World War One Anzac sculpture stands in the main street of Invercargill, the soldier’s silhouette rises above the street, back turned to the May sunset. I turn to admire the decaying facade of a Victorian building along the main street and hope that a benefactor will come to its rescue. As I contemplate the fate of this building, I see him againĀ – the soldier mirrored in the windows.

Great image, I especially love the subtlety of the mirrored image

Lovely Victorian building. The blue trim compliments the bright yellows and golds of the setting sun. Great take on mirriored!

Beautiful images, Francesca, and captured at the best possible time. I do hope that some wealthy benefactor restores that building. Such a shame to see something so beautifully designed to sit idle like that.
