Earth Down South

In the deep south of New Zealand, travelling via the coastal road from Dunedin to Invercargill, the road winds through the Catlins. Green takes on a different colour down here, one that is almost blinding to the average Australian traveller. We are close to Slope Point, the southern most tip of New Zealand and it feels like the edge of the earth.

    1. hi Julie my dear Kiwi friend, we visited all your vineyards today and now we are kicking back in the van , toi toi pinot noir in hand, heater on and just cruising. This district is too beautiful for words- we never get far because the scenery is too distracting. …stopping every 5seconds for a photo. …had lunch at Mt difficulty. .. nice view and superb pinot gris…
I will have to leave all my 1000 NZ stories till later… crap data for blogging and besides, we are just having a ball.
