I agree with Andy. We always have the choice whether or not to accept an artist’s concept/work or not. I photographed one of his quotes from the wall of the exhibition in Melbourne recently; ‘My idea of a good photograph is one that is in focus and of a famous person doing something unfamous’ It struck me as funny but so apropos to his work and still very relevant if the gossip mags are anything to go by!

Great quotes on walls are worth capturing. I am so annoyed I missed this exhibition- everyone who saw it said it was really good. I know you saw it too Ardys.

I’m not a lover of abstract art either. It often makes me feel I am not clever enough to ‘get it’. But, sometimes, if it’s clearly not being too precious about itself – I can ‘get it’. Andy Warhol’s quote sums it up for me – it’s thought provoking and makes me smile. Great photo.

Andy Warhol was a genius. I love artists who don’t take their chosen trade too seriously.

One of my friend is there this weekend and visited the Warhol & Ai Weiwei shows – I’m very jealous!
