Women work at a seaweed farm on the coast off Nusa Lembongan, an island off the south east coast of Bali, Indonesia. This monochromatic view has an impressionistic feel, a case of life imitating art.

My daughter loves retro finds. A monochromatic corner of her living room looks like a scene from Madmen.

Love your daugther’s retro corner! so warm!

Both so different, but appealing. Then first serene and cool, the second warm and spicy 🙂

Lovely photos Francesca, I love the expression on that woman’s face in your daughter’s picture – she looks like she could be standing in a saloon about to whip out a pearl handled gun 🙂

yeas, we had a little argument when she found that one in an oppy. I wanted it, but she found it first, bla blah blah. We share our best oppy finds but she always keeps the top retro.
Pearl handled gun- nice phrase.

Is Rachel’s picture painted on velvet? Ones my mum and dad had were on black velvet. Must say, I wasn’t enamoured in the day, haven’t changed my mind much. We have a bloke who sets up a van full of this style of paintings in the local servo at the weekend. Nice light and shade:)

It is petty bad taste but because she didn’t grow up seeing that trash, she likes it. No, not on velvet. More in the Tretchikoff style.
